A-pillar trim pieces that hold gauges are cool. There's no doubt about it. But, in a couple years, all manufacturers will be forced to put air bags in the A-pillar. Plus, many of the A-pillar pieces on the market today are vacuum-formed. On really hot days, they have been known to warp and turn to mush; Auto-Tech Interiors [ATI] has created a line if guage holders from injection-molded ABS plastic that doesn't have to be mounted on the A-pillar.
